The KZN comedy scene was in the Dark ages till 2007 with the launch of ThunderHEAD Comedy Club in Florida Road by SA stand-up returning home from International travels and tours. Glen Bo kicked it off and slowly developed a following and small breed of new acts, clubs and tours. Festivals like Splashy fen booked Bo who kept up performing as well as developing Local talent. In 2009, the work had paid of with a a group of talened cutting-edge comedians playing all over KZN. The Clubs are now split into two brands. DSOC (Durban School of Comedy) founded by Bo, Cowan, Badenhorst, Areff and Collins and the Punchlines! Comedy brand with it's home at Harveyz in Durban North which is approaching it's 1st year Birthday and has hosted SA's Top acts and also links up to the DSTV Comedy Cuircit.
